Rainy Days and Mondays
I've got one more week before school officially starts, and I never thought I'd say this but I'm really excited. I CANNOT WAIT TO GO BACK TO WORK. That's the disadvantage of being a part-time instructor; summer vacation means no work and no pay. So yeah, I've effectively wiped out my savings this summer (heck, I wiped them out even before the break ended so I'm living off on donations from my wonderful family, hahaha). At least this year, I've been "promoted" to a full-time status which means more pay, more benefits, and more work. It's okay though; it's better than sitting around all day playing Mafia Wars. LOL
Okay, so what's been going on lately, seeing as I haven't updated this thing in over 6 months?
First, this is going to be one busy week. I have curriculum planning on Wednesday AND Thursday (we don't have to go to Cavite like it was originally planned, thank God), then a company outing on Friday (I heard it was going to be in Los Baños), then band practice Friday night to Saturday afternoon (we're sleeping over at Chevy's house), then my grandmother's birthday on Sunday (hooray, food!).
Next week will be the start of classes, meaning I have mountains of paperwork to do, classes to hold, rules to impose, students to torture mwahahahaha! Then come Friday is the Philippine Independence Day - no classes yey! But that's not the real reason I'm excited. We have a gig that night at CubaoX for Lomomanila (LCA 25th Anniversary Party), then we go to Baguio from there with the rest of Lomomanila for another party and another gig. This is the first ever out-of-town gig for the band and I'm totally psyched! I love Baguio!
I guess that pretty much wraps up stuff. I feel like I'm going to have a good two weeks, even if it is raining like crazy.
Oh wait, the rain stopped. I better go get my license renewed before it starts pouring again.
